Today is Pa’s birthday, he would have been 72. It was a hard day, remembering him, missing him. I think often about how theatre has saved my life. It really saved me today.
Tonight we have our first preview for Company. I am so lucky to be in this bucket-list show for the second time in my life.
These are a fantastic bunch of performers. They helped me get through some rough patches this week, thinking about my dad, and everything else that life is throwing at me. And the theme of the show resonates a lot with me: you have to choose something, choose your life. “Alone, is alone, not alive.” Ah theatre, thanks for saving me. And happy opening, Company!
