Bonjour Paris! Our first glimpse of the Eiffel Tower!
We arrived early in the morning, took a harrowing taxi ride through rush hour Paris, and arrived at our home for the next couple of days.
It’s called the Hotel Eiffel Blomet in the 15 arrondissement.
Their lounge is gorgeous.
And they have an honesty bar! You take what you want and leave a note on what it was, and they charge it to your room.
Cool decor, huh?
We rested for a bit, then went on a walk about.
We had such gorgeous weather.
We hung out in the park and took many pictures, and just soaked it all up. I have been dreaming about Paris for so long!
Our wanderings took us to Passy Cemetary.
It’s where French impressionist artist Manet is buried.
As well as musical genius Claude Debussy.
We walked back to our hood and rested a bit more.
Then went to find something to eat at Les Artisans.
Meat and cheese board, bread, wine, a jar full of pickles – it was perfect.
And dessert, of course. Bon soir, Paris!
