My wedding dress

I’ve been posting all about the wedding, well here is some info on my dress! My sister’s colour scheme was sort of wine/maroon. I didn’t have any nice dresses in this palette, so I decided to try and make one!

I found this dress, which looked pretty simple. The pattern is from the Friday Pattern Company but I found it by way of a site called The Fold Line.

I got the fabric from Rokko Sarees, they always have great stuff! I squeezed my size (10) out of just 2 yards – phew! I think it turned out great! It is really comfy too, nice and roomy. And I borrowed my mom’s necklace and earrings to complete the outfit.

I read and looked at other makers online who made the dress in more casual fabrics like cotton and linen. I can’t wait to try it again. Plus this one is a nice Christmas colour, so I can wear it for holiday parties!
