“Looking Back”

I am ready to tell you about the film that I was recording for – “Looking Back.” It’s a graduation project, written and directed by Anna, an Emily Carr student.

We spent a couple of nights recording the music at Monarch Studios. The film is a musical short and the song is very lovely.

And here is my co-star Ariel. She and I did a few musical theatre shows together a long time ago. We did the Wiz where she was Dorothy and I was Auntie Em! It was SUCH a pleasure singing and working with her again!

The first location was care home.

The second location was a gorgeous loft in Gastown.

I play Maria in the film. There is a “Young Maria” also, and we had to look similar (obviously). So long story short, I cut my hair so that I would have bangs. “Bangs!” says this silly IG post.

The third location was a chapel in Richmond.

The material was heavy, but I enjoyed my headpiece!

I just love being on set and this was a really wonderful experience. Can’t wait to see and hear the final product!
