I posted about my new violin last week, which I haven’t named yet.
The owner included some VERY old rosin with it. It’s too old to use, but it’s cool to have. I don’t think I’ve ever seen rosin with a steel backing.
It came with an old 3/4 bow too, with a steel tip. They are plastic now, and my teacher tells me they won’t replace the hairs on a steel-tipped bow. The violin is 126 years old. It’s nice to think they made things to last, back then.
