Dyeing

We don’t get a chance to meet up often, but when I DO hook up with my craft group, we do some fun stuff! This time, it was adventures in dying.

Mel made a big pot of indigo dye. She’s taken a bunch of workshops and luckily has all the tools.

The others brought some fabric to dye, but I bought yarn (of course).

I tried dying cotton, wool and acrylic.

I did a couple of rounds on the cotton ball of yarn, so it turned out darker.

And this is the acrylic. Non-organic materials aren’t supposed to hold dye well, so we’ll see.

Now we wait for them to dry and see what happens!
