Our poor province is burning! So many forest fires in Beautiful BC has made most of August very smokey indeed. I'm a Vancouver girl through and through, so I say: bring on the rain!
Birthdays with Chibi
My bro and sis in law Maiko are visiting from San Diego. We celebrated her birthday this week. This is their pup, Chibi. He's aways on the move and I can never get a good picture of him. But I got a good picture of not one, but TWO mango cakes!

I've been spending a lot of time on Granville Island lately, I love it here. And look, we found this new place to eat - Popina. It's a counter place, with outdoor seating. Great seafood! This guy approves. And so does this guy!
Visits
My father in law John came into town for a visit. He lives close to Duncan, on Vancouver Island. We had some eats, we saw my hubby's show "42nd Street" at TUTS, we had some more eats.
